You can take up to six months to complete the course and you can accelerate through the material and complete sooner than 12 weeks, but we recommend taking the time for deep learning and comprehension. 

A course workbook will be mailed and there are weekly study videos that coincide with the course syllabus. You will need to purchase or rent a dietetics textbook: Understanding Nutrition by Whitney & Rolfes. 

Yes! Most organizations accept our course as a substantial portion of nutrition or other continuing education credits. We are happy to provide a petition letter for you to submit.

There are 60 multiple choice and true/false questions in the first section that reflect your understanding of the metabolic physiology presented in the course worth 180 points. The second section of the exam includes 2 comprehensive case studies worth 100 points each, broken down into 5 sections to test your ability to generate appropriate energy balance assessments and macronutrient profiles, describe proper clinical care, and navigate client challenges.

A passing score is 70%. If you take advantage of the exam prep and practice case studies - with Dr. Joe's personal feedback and tutoring - it is unlikely you'll fail. But in the event test anxiety got the best of you and you need to retake the exam, you can within 30 days.
